The legendary love triangle of King Arthur, Guenevere and Sir Lancelot leaps from the pages of T.H. White’s novel in Lerner and Loewe’s award-winning, soaring musical
Upright Theatre Co. is holding auditions for its upcoming production of Camelot. Performers are asked to fill out an online audition form and submit their headshot, resume, conflict calendar, and a video audition to [email protected] of them singing 32 bars of a song in the style of the show by March 26, 2026. (No singing a cappella, please.) Callbacks (if needed) will be held in-person on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2pm in Euless, TX. Online audition forms and conflict calendars can be found at the bottom of this page.
 
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Borrowing from the Arthurian legends, Lerner and Loewe’s Camelot is the duo’s fantastical masterpiece which triumphed on Broadway in a legendary original production that lead to a film version, and numerous revivals in New York, London and across the globe.

An idealistic young King Arthur hopes to create a kingdom built on honor and dignity, embodied by his Knights of The Round Table. His Ideals, however, are tested when his lovely queen, Guenevere, falls in love with the young Knight, Lancelot and the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance.

ROLES AVAILABLE:
 
Arthur
An idealistic, compassionate and generous young King. He tends to be unsure of himself, but serves as a huge inspiration to others and strives to lead based on honor and chivalry.
Gender: Male | Age: 25 to 40 | Vocal range: A2-Eb4
 
Guenevere
A young, beautiful and spirited young woman and soon to be queen. She loves Arthur and his righteous ways, but is suddenly thrown with the arrival of Lancelot. 
Gender: Female | Age: 20 to 35 | Vocal range: B3-A5
 
Lancelot
A self involved French Knight who is very used to excelling at everything. 
Gender: Male | Age: 20 to 35 | Vocal range: A2-B4
 
Pellinore
An old and eccentric knight, devoted to Arthur. 
Gender: Male | Age: 50 to 70
 
Mordred
The illegitimate son of Arthur, bound to destroy his kingdom. 
Gender: Male| Age: 20 to 30 | Vocal range top: C3-D4
 
Tom of Warwick
A young stowaway whom Arthur knights, in hopes that he will spread the word of chivalry and Camelot. 
Gender: Male | Age: 14 to 20
 
Nimue
A mythical spirit who lures Merlyn away and steals his magical powers. 
Gender: Female | Age: 20 to 40 | Vocal range: Eb4-Eb5
 
Merlyn
King Arthur's long time mentor. A wizard who ages backwards. 
Gender: Male | Age: 20 to 50
 
Morgan Le Fey
Mordred's magical Aunt who casts a spell on King Arthur. 
Gender: Female | Age: 40 to 50
 
Ensemble
Knights of the Round Table, Lords and Ladies of the court, townspeople.

 
AUDITION INFORMATION
AUDITION DATE: Video submissions due by March 26, 2026. Callbacks (if needed) will be on March 28, 2026, 2pm-4pm. Audition forms and conflict calendars can be found at the bottom of this page.
LOCATION: Upright Theatre Company, 2501 N Main St, Ste 210, Euless, TX 76039
REHEARSALS: Rehearsals begin April 6, 2026 and will generally be four nights per week from 7-10pm, Monday through Thursday, and Saturday between 12p and 4p. Not all actors will be called for every rehearsal. 
PERFORMANCE DATES: May 15-June 14, 2026, on Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 3:00pm
