Upright Theatre Co. is holding youth auditions for its upcoming Junior Series production of Peter Pan JR. Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10am-12pm at Upright Theatre Company in Euless, TX. Callbacks (if needed) will be on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 4:30pm.
To audition, performers are asked to fill out an online audition form and make an appointment using the links provided at the bottom of this page. Artists should bring their headshot and resume, along with a conflict calendar that can be found at the bottom of this page.
*Please Note: Actors must be between the ages of 8-18 years old to be considered for casting.
WHAT TO PREPARE:
Actors should prepare 16 bars (approx. 30-60 seconds) from a Broadway or Disney song of their choice. No accompanist will be provided, so actors are asked to submit a link with their accompaniment track prior to their audition. Singing a cappella is strongly discouraged. Auditioners will also be asked to perform a cold reading of the provided audition sides at the audition with other actors in the audition room. Audition sides do not need to be memorized and will be posted on Upright Theatre Company’s website prior to auditions.
Dance Auditions will be held from 10:00am to 10:30am on Saturday, May 9, so please be prepared to attend this portion of the audition in addition to your scheduled audition time. Actors will learn a brief dance combination and perform it in groups. Please bring clothes and shoes that you can move in.
Callbacks - Friday, May 15, 4:30pm - 6:00pm
Callbacks are invitation only, and actors will be notified if they are needed at callbacks via email. Not all who auditioned may be called back. Those who are not called back are still being considered for roles. Song cuts and sides will be made available prior to callbacks. Actors should be very familiar with the selections, but do not have to be memorized. ALL auditioners will know if they are cast by Monday, May 18.
Production Materials Fee
Please note that there will be a $125 Production Materials Fee for all cast members who receive a role in the production. This fee goes towards royalties, scripts, costumes, set and props for the production. ABOUT THE SHOW:
Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, the fierce Brave Girls, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook.
Featuring the iconic songs, "I'm Flying," "I've Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up" and "Never Never Land," and a rousing book full of magic, warmth and adventure, Peter Pan JR. is the perfect show for the child in all of us... who dreamed of soaring high and never growing up.

Peter Pan
Peter Pan is a boy without a care in the world. Originally written for and cast as a female, this role is for a girl with a soaring can-do spirit who most certainly “won’t grow up!”

Wendy
Wendy is the eldest of the Darling children and has a certain maternal quality. Wendy is very bright, ever-practical and ready for an adventure!
Gender: Female | Vocal range: Ab3-Db5
John
John is the middle Darling child and has an amicable and open presence. A little more proper than his younger brother.
Gender: Male | Vocal range: Ab3-Db5
Michael
Michael is the youngest Darling boy and seems to have unlimited energy.

Nana
Nana is a dog and takes care of the Darling children.

Mrs. Darling
Mrs. Darling is the mother of Wendy, John and Michael, and she is the perfect picture of a mother.

Mr. Darling
Mr. Darling is the father of Wendy, John and Michael, and he is a man with one concern: keeping his house in order.

Liza
Liza is the Darling’s housekeeper who always seems to be in a bit of a frenzy as she tries to keep everyone pleased.

Tiger Lily
Tiger Lily is the fearless leader of the Brave Girls.

Brave Girls
The Brave Girls, including Brave Girl #1, Brave Girl #2 and Small Brave Girl, are a group of Neverland inhabitants. They are a fun bunch of girls who are as strong as they are kind.

The Lost Boys are a group of lads who live in Neverland without a care in the world! Roles include Nibs, Slightly, Curley, Tootles, Twin #1 and Twin # 2.

The Pirates are a gaggle of villains who are looking to cause some trouble.

Captain Hook
Captain Hook, the leader of the Pirates, has a bone to pick… or rather a Peter Pan to hook!

Smee is Captain Hook’s sidekick who wants nothing more than to see Captain Hook succeed in his evil plotting.

Crocodile
