AUDITION UPDATE (3/17/22):
Upright Theatre Co. is currently seeking an actor for the role of Morris Dixon. All other roles have been cast. Artists interested in auditioning for Morris Dixon are encouraged to submit an audition video of them reading the sides below. Audition videos, along with headshots, resumes and conflict calendars, should be sent to auditions@uprighttheatre.org.
AUDITION SIDES
Upright Theatre Co. is holding auditions for its upcoming production of Noël Coward’s Present Laughter. Auditions will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 6:30pm at Upright Theatre Company’s studio space in Euless, TX. Callbacks (if needed) will be February 28, 2022 at 6:30pm. To audition, performers are asked to fill out an online audition form and make an appointment using the links provided at the bottom of this page. Actors will be asked to do cold readings from the script and are encouraged to be familiar with the material. Artists should bring their headshot and resume, along with a conflict calendar that can be found below.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Noel Coward's totally-irresistible and semi-autobiographical comedy follows a self-obsessed actor in the midst of a mid-life crisis. Freely indulging his considerable appetite for wine, women and sleeping late, the theatre’s favorite leading man suddenly finds himself caught between fawning ingénues, crazed playwrights, secret trysts and unexpected twists.
UPRIGHT RATING: PG (Parental Guidance)
*1940’s English farce with drinking, smoking, and mild sexual references.

AUDITION DATE: Friday, February 25 at 6:30pm. Callbacks (if needed) will be Monday, February 28 at 6:30pm. Audition forms, appointment links and conflict calendars can be found using the links at the bottom of this page.
LOCATION: Upright Theatre Company’s Studio on Main, 2501 N Main St, Ste 210, Euless, TX 76039
REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will be held at Upright’s Studio on Main beginning March 4, 2022 and will generally be 3-4 nights per week from 6:30-10pm, Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 10a-2p. Not all actors will be called for every rehearsal. Masks will be required for all in-person rehearsals.
PERFORMANCE DATES: April 8-30, 2022, on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3pm.
