Upright Theatre Co. is holding youth auditions for their upcoming Junior Series production of Pinkalicious The Musical. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 4-6:30pm at Upright Theatre Company’s studio space in Euless, TX. Callbacks (if needed) will be on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 4pm.
To audition, artists are asked to fill out an online audition form and make an appointment using the links provided at the bottom of this page. Artists should bring their headshot and resume, along with a completed conflict calendar (see below.)
*Please Note: Actors must be between the ages of 8-18 years old to be considered for casting.
WHAT TO PREPARE:
Actors should prepare 16 bars from a Broadway or Disney song of their choice. No accompanist will be provided, so actors are asked to bring a CD with their accompaniment. Auditions will also consist of cold readings from the script, so artists are encouraged to be familiar with the material. To view the audition sides, please CLICK HERE.
Dance Auditions will be held at 4:45pm on Tuesday, May 25 so please be prepared to attend this portion of the audition in addition to your scheduled audition time. Actors will learn a brief dance combination and perform it in groups. Please bring clothes and shoes that you can move in.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Based on the popular book by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann, this is the tale of Pinkalicious, who can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor’s office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe–a dream come true for this pink-loving enthusiast. Alas, Pinkalicious needs a way out of her pink predicament, and joined by her family they find unity and appreciation in the quirks that define us all.
