ABOUT THE SHOW:
All 37 plays in 97 minutes! Three actors weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare’s comedies, histories, and tragedies in one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter. An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard’s plays, THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED) was London’s longest-running comedy.
UPRIGHT RATING: PG-13 (Parental Advisory)
*Adult situations. Not recommended for children.
For more information on Upright Production Ratings, please email [email protected].
ROLES AVAILABLE:
Three actors who use their own names and play versions of themselves presenting the works of William Shakespeare. They pretend to be inventing the show as they go, so a spontaneous, improvised style is essential. Although not required, circus skills such as juggling or gymnast skills could be useful. Most important are good comic skills and a positive attitude. All roles involve great energy and physical action. The roles were originally written for three men, however, a gender diverse cast is welcome.
DANIEL - a “leading man” – plays Romeo, Horatio, Laertes, etc. (age 20s to 40s)
Daniel Audition Side 1 *If auditioning for Daniel, please also submit a one-minute Shakespeare monologue of choice.
